Walk into 2021 with Grace and Style, LIKE A BOSS.]]>Tue, 16 Mar 2021 14:46:27 GMThttp://credithoperepair.com/blog/a-new-year-a-new-you-walk-into-2021-with-grace-and-style-like-a-bossDo you find yourself falling over and over into the bad credit trap? You’re struggling to keep afloat and just can’t seem to find a way to get out?
Pick yourself up, grab your favorite drink and read on because the credit savvy sisters will give you some advice on how to claim what is yours and walk like a boss in 2021.
Maybe it’s due to the pandemic where all of a sudden you find yourself jobless, you maxed out all of your credit cards and you’re struggling to pay your bills on time, or you’ve made poor financial decisions in the past because you were not taught how to budget your money or properly handle credit, or maybe you just didn’t have a fair start.
As the scripture says:

1. Reflect on what you have done in the past.

 • Contemplate and identify the things that brought you in this situation so you will know what to avoid moving forward.
 • Accept that you have made mistakes and forgive yourself.

2. Leave the past behind.

 • Whatever happened in the past leave it there and don’t get stuck in that situation.
 • Continuously speak life into your situation so you’ll have the boost to change your mindset.
 • Be intentional. Write down your vision to make them feel tangible.

3. Surround yourself with people who have the same mindset.

 • As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another. Choose to be around people who have the same goals or have already achieved their goals. You’ll have a support system to celebrate your small wins but most importantly have someone to reel you back if you’ve strayed from your path.
 • Accept the fact that you need to distance yourself from people who are pulling you down.

4. Educate yourself.

 • If you were not taught the importance of credit and how to manage credit, then start with yourself so you can pass it on to the next generation.
 • You can start by getting a copy of your credit report and analyzing the factors that have a significant impact on your credit score.
 • If it gets too overwhelming, you don’t have the time to handle it yourself, or you just don’t know where to start then let the credit savvy sisters educate you, help you analyze your financial situation, set your budget, build your credit and achieve your ultimate goals.

5. Be an example.

 • Help your family and friends (especially your kids) avoid the bad credit trap by being an example to them.
 • Keep in mind that repetition is the key when you want to learn.
 • Instill in them the value of being financially responsible so they are equipped when stepping out into the world.

You might be in a situation where you’ve had a rough start or a false start. You think it’s hopeless and there is nothing you can do. But we are telling you, just focus on your goals because if you can’t imagine the goals you desire then it’s difficult for you to obtain them. It all starts in your mind and if you can change your mindset then you can win in every situation.
<![CDATA[Black Lives Matter…]]>Sun, 07 Jun 2020 18:00:17 GMThttp://credithoperepair.com/blog/black-lives-matter
We try not to watch too much news because the news brings doom! However, with everything that is going on in the world we must stay abreast. I found myself not watching because it’s so heart breaking, but my kids are all over it with social media and as parents we have to be able to educate our kids and keep them safe through that education. Black Lives matter does not mean that any other race is less but don’t just discard the life of a black person because of the color of their skin. That is a simple civil right that we are asking and have been fighting for, for generations.
The definition of civil is of the ordinary life of citizens, polite or courteous. Everyone deserves that right but not everyone has to fight for it. I’ve seen post saying that George Floyd was a thug and he deserved to die. What George deserved was the police to be civil, to do their job, protect and serve our community. Our kids, our black men should not be afraid of the police but we should look to the police for help and know that they will do their job!
Each one, Teach one is a saying that originated from America during slavery times. Slaves were seen as chattel (a personal possession) and therefore denied an education so when one slave learned to read or write, it became his duty to teach someone else. I say this to say racism is learned its not born. It’s our duty as citizens of all colors to each one, teach one!
People have asked how can we help …this is the opinion of CHR and no one else...start by each one, teach one. Understand that not every black person is a thug or a n$$$$, not every cop is bad, and not every white person is a racist. We are all human and as such deserve to be treated civil. Civil rights is a basic right that everyone should have… teach your kids.
J. Edgar Hoover said that the greatest threat to the United States of America is Negro Unity. What does Negro Unity mean to you? How can we help? Each One Teach One! Black Lives Matter! Credit Hope Repair Stands… Black Lives Matter.

<![CDATA[Hey Boo! I just wanted to share some tips on how to build that credit score quickly!]]>Fri, 22 May 2020 23:08:46 GMThttp://credithoperepair.com/blog/hey-boo-i-just-wanted-to-share-some-tips-on-how-to-build-that-credit-score-quickly
Checking your credit score is the first step to take while focusing on rebuilding your scores. After getting your scores, you will also get updated about the factors that have a significant impact on your credit score. With these factors, it will be easy to note the areas to focus on so that you can improve your scores. However, you must be patient enough to allow the creditors to report the changes I know patience is a virtue and sometimes when you are a boss, patience just aint yo thang! Yep I said that!

Check out some simple tips below:

Don’t be late! If you have been late before it’s okay time heals everything! Lenders check to see if you pay your bills on time! Past payment performance makes up 30% of your credit score so guess what, it is important! Hey, don’t fret if you mess up and miss a payment call the creditor a lot of them will be willing to remove the late if there is no history of late payments. If you have been late time heals a late one year ago does not impact your score like a late yesterday! So keep your head up and pay your bills on time! If you can’t and you just don’t have the money, call the creditor get on a payment plan, they will stop interest payments and everything! Don’t just sit in your bed and rock take action!
Ensure Credit Card Balances Are Low under 30%The credit utilization ratio has a significant impact when it comes to credit score calculations. My easy rule of thumb is to look at each card and make sure you are under 30% of your utilization. You need to keep in mind that all cards may not show up on each bureau so if you stay under the 30 % that will help increase your score immediately! If you don’t have the money to pay down the card then ask for a credit increase. Now if your credit is bad this will not help you because you will most likely get declined and your score will go down because now you have another inquiry! You would need someone that guarantee cards and report to all three bureaus! You could piggyback off a family members good credit! I helped my 19-year college student get a 750 credit score by doing this.
Never Close Your Credit Cards You Don't UseIt is crucial to keep your unused credit card open if they don’t cost you anything. Don't close them since this is likely to make your credit utilization ratio to increase. You're likely to lower the credit card scores if you owe the same amount but have fewer open accounts. However I would occasionally charge something just to keep them active. Having a zero balance does not help you!
Never Open Several Credit Cards at One TimeYou can quickly increase the overall credit limit if you apply for another credit card. However, you will end up creating a hard inquiry on the credit report when you open a new credit card. Several hard questions are likely to hurt your credit score negatively.
Just wanted to share a couple of tips to help boost your score within the next 30 days! If you are still having problems and need to get some negative items removed think about Credit Hope Repair! We would love to help get you on the right track to meeting those credit goals!
